This year the Chicken Chase will be in memory of Zayvier Michael Barnes who passed away this past November at age 9 following a tragic car accident. He was a caring boy with a big heart and touched many lives during his short time on earth. One of his favorite “holidays” was the Eleva Broiler Fest. Please join us for the walk/run to help keep his memory alive. Proceeds will be dontated to the Eleva-Strum Intermediate School's Playground Project.

Eleva-Strum Intermediate School Playground Project:  Students at the Eleva-Strum Intermediate School are looking to update their playground. They would like to purchase equipment geared at their age level to increase their recess options beyond swinging and use of parallel bars. They have done a few fund raisers but are still a long way from their goal. Students have made it their goal to work hard as they have decided the project would be in memory of their friend and classmate Zayvier Barnes. A large outdoor sign will be made to hang at the entrance to the playground.
